Abarth Punto Evo Review

The Punto Evo has been given an update by Fiat's tuning arm at Abarth, and features an upgraded exterior to go alongside the new engine. The front bumper has had twin air-intakes added to cool the vehicle's Brembo brakes, and a spoiler and diffuser have also been added. The car now arrives with 17-inch alloy wheels, and red side stripes and fitted door mirrors are available as an optional extra.

The interior contains new Jaeger-designed instruments which are colour-matched against Abarth's red and yellow logo design, and the leather trim features similarly colourful stitching.

The Abarth Punto Evo is powered by a 1.4-litre MultiAir engine, fitted with a Garrett turbo. This gives the vehicle 163bhp and a top speed of 133mph, and it can reach 0-60mph in under 7.9 seconds. Fuel economy is 47.1mpg, and carbon emissions are 142g/km. The car is front-wheel drive, and contains a six-speed manual gearbox.

Considered a stylish and accessible supermini, the Abarth Punto Evo has enough long-distance ability to impress and a spacious cabin for motorists to enjoy. Customers are likely to enjoy the exclusive nature of the vehicle, and those desiring extra choice have the option of waiting for November's 180bhp +Esseesse version.
