Retail Customer Account Manager at Birmingham Bullring​

Due to the launch of our brand-new retail experience in the Bullring shopping centre, Birmingham, we are looking for the right candidate to trial blaze this new concept store. We’re looking for people who have a flair for customer engagement, and the ability to host the next generation of Volkswagen customers, introducing them to the latest Volkswagen technologies and passing that passion for our brand onto others.

You will be the Voice of Johnsons Volkswagen Birmingham Bullring, taking over the customer management from the point they place an order with the sales team in the retail outlet in the Bullring Shopping Centre. You’ll be responsible for the entire order processing experience which includes all paperwork, ordering your customers car from the factory, communicating these details with the customer, and once the vehicle arrives, you’ll take personal responsibility to make sure the car is of the highest standard before dispatching it to the Retail outlet for handover.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • To provide the highest levels of customer service by providing a knowledgeable, courteous, responsive and efficient service, projecting the quality image of the brand and the Company
  • To ensure all customer expectations and requirements are exceeded throughout the interactive experience
  • Manage customer’s relationship throughout the process, managing the order, administration (Invoicing, Tax etc..), stock and car preparation after your customers have concluded the sales process with the Dealership Sales Team (based at the local Birmingham Volkswagen Dealership)

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have extensive experience in a customer managment environment, either in a managerial position in a retail experience (high street sales manager, floor manager or similar) or in a retail or corporate customer account management environment (B2B or B2C is fine).
  • Alternatively, we are interested in speaking to candidates from the Retail Automotive Industry who feel they have the right skill sets for this position.
  • Be focussed on delivering the highest standards of customer service and have a real enthusiasm for the technologies and product range from Volkswagen.
  • Ideally hold a minimum of 12 months, successful track record in a customer facing, target driven sales environment (however not essential as full training will be provided).
  • Be exceptionally organised and process driven, with the ability to manage a wide range of administrative tasks.
  • Hold a valid UK driving licence.

The successful applicant will be highly motivated, efficient and organised. You must be used to working in a competitive and process driven environment and possess excellent communication, administration and customer handling skills. This position will be based out of the Volkswagen dealership in Birmingham, however the majority of your time will be spent in the Bullring Shopping centre at our new retail outlet.

This position provides a competitive remuneration package, with a £25k basic wage, and a huge range of employee perks as well as industry leading product and manufacturer training. This is a fulltime position however only working Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)
