A 4x4 That Turns Heads
The Santa Fe is emblematic of Hyundai’s style revolution, with its muscular SUV good looks and range of attractive exterior features. Included are lightweight and attractive 18-inch alloy wheels that are fitted as standard. It also comes with generous levels of chrome, which feature on the car’s impressive radiator grille and elsewhere. The vehicle comes with privacy glass too and is topped with roof rails that offer extra load-bearing opportunities. The car’s cabin is just as arresting as the exterior with a dashboard that is embellished with chrome highlights. Leather features prominently, cladding the seat facings, steering wheel and gearshift knob.
Practically Perfect in Every Way
The new Santa Fe is a very spacious vehicle, offering plenty of head and legroom. Its second row of seats slides forwards and backwards too. This practical vehicle is typically fitted with five seats, but the option for entry-level Premium trims to install a third row is available. Seven seats are standard with Premium SE grades, making this Santa Fe especially convenient for large families. The vehicle’s rather useful 585-litre boot should suit most purposes but if additional luggage space is required, 60/40 split-folding can be flipped to reveal 1,680 litres of cargo volume. Seven-seat models, meanwhile, still manage to deliver a minimum and maximum capacity of 516 litres and 1,615 litres respectively.
The most important consideration when deciding upon a family vehicle is: “How safe is it?” When it comes to the Hyundai Santa Fe, the answer is: “Very.” The car has been awarded a maximum five-star rating by crash-test specialists Euro NCAP. Occupants are offered plenty of protection, thanks to features that include seven airbags and seatbelt reminders. Children are the most precious cargo of all, which is why ISOFIX fixtures are installed on outer rear seats, and tamper-proof rear door locks are included as standard. The Santa Fe comes with a wide range of driver aids too, such as an Anti-lock Braking System, Electronic Stability Programme, Hill-start Assist, Trailer Stability Assist and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System. Also available with all models is Autonomous Emergency Braking, which alerts the driver to potential collisions, and automatically reduces speed to help significantly minimise the chances of vehicular impact.
