There is a choice of seven super-efficient engines to power the Mazda6, ranging from a 1.8-litre MZR up to the powerful 2.5-litre, all of which are supported by either a five-speed or six-speed transmission to make gear changes effortless. The 1.8-litre MZR’s stats are impressive; it is able to reach 121mph and can get from 0-60 in 11.7 seconds, a number which is improved by three seconds by the top-of-the-range engine. These engines’ emissions and fuel consumption are again lowered, thanks to the inclusion of the revolutionary new SKYACTIVE technology exclusive to Mazda.
