The Swedish brand announces a range of updates for the model year 2017, including the latest semi-autonomous drive technology, Pilot Assist II, as standard on the XC90 in the UK.Thanks to Volvo’s new SPA architecture, the Pilot Assist II was made possible on the XC90. The advanced technology supports the drivers up to speeds of 80 mph in great marked highway conditions and it was first introduced in the new S90 premium saloon.

The update is available on the D5 powertrain XC90 and it delivers significant improvements in take-off performance because of the brand’s creative use of compressed air to deliver an instant response by spooling up the turbo.

90 Series connectivity updates
Sensus, Volvo’s in-car connectivity and driver interface, will feature new native apps across the range of 2016, including Spotify and Park and Pay. Connected Service Booking will also be added on the Sensus interface along with improved Internet Maps, TuneIn, Local Search and Yelp applications. Record & Send, a new voice-recording app, will also be added, enabling drivers to make a voice note that they can send to themselves as reminders.
60 Series cars
The models will feature significant updates for 2016. The award-winning four-cylinder T5 petrol engine delivers 245 hp and 350 Nm of torque will be parred to an 8-speed automatic transmission and will be available in the XC60. New wheels will be available – a new 18” wheel for the S60/V60 and XC60, and a brand-new 20” wheel for the XC60. The R-Design trim levels will also feature 18”, 19” and 20” wheels.
The S60 series will features three new exterior colours. Luminous Sand will be available on all 60 Series cars, while Mussel Blue will be on the XC60, S60, V60 and V60 Cross Country. Bursting Blue will be available for S60, V60 and XC60 R-Design variants while Passion Red will be available for the V60 Cross Country model.
Volvo On Call
With the new Microsoft Band 2, Volvo On Call will deliver voice control for certain features when using Windows 10-based smartphones. Other features include calendar integration, Flic button compatibility with Volvo On Call and support for Windows 10.
CleanZone technology
The award winning CleanZone technology offers interior air quality by ensuring that the outside air is perfectly filtered before entering the cabin.

We may advise you on the products, subject to your personal circumstances, though you are not obliged to take our advice or recommendation.
We do not charge you a fee for our services. we will typically receive commission from whichever lender we introduce you to (either a fixed fee or a fixed percentage of the amount you borrow).
Unless we consider it to be inappropriate given your personal circumstances, for certain vehicles e.g. New, our approach is to introduce you to the lender who are usually able to offer the best available package for you, taking into account interest rates, residual valuations (where applicable) and other contributions. If they are unable to make you an offer of finance, or the vehicle is not one that we would normally place with them we will introduce you to other lenders on our panel. The lender we introduce you to and available rates will depend upon a number of factors including: the vehicle, your personal circumstances and the likelihood of a lender to accept an application based on information provided.
Lenders typically pay a commission to us for introducing you to them, calculated by reference to the vehicle model or amount you borrow. Different lenders may pay different commissions for such introductions; some lenders may also provide preferential rates to us for the funding of our vehicle stock and also provide financial support for our training and marketing. But any such amounts they and other lenders pay us will not affect the amounts you pay under your finance agreement, all of which are set by the lender concerned. If you would like to know the amount of any remuneration we have received from the finance provider, please ask us.
