Service Advisor Apprentice​

We require an Apprentice Service Advisor of the highest calibre to join our busy Service Department at our Volkswagen Dealership in Solihull. We offer a superb opportunity to the right person who is able to demonstrate an aptitude to learn and a keenness to develop a rewarding career within the Automotive industry.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Meeting and greeting customers in a friendly and courteous manner throughout the day.
  • Cover reception; respond positively to customer telephone enquiries regarding service and repairs.
  • Follow up with customers on quotes provided to ascertain whether the work can proceed.
  • Use SMS texting to remind customers of their following day booking.
  • Carry out customer service follow-up calls.
  • Liaise with the technical workshop to keep track of vehicles and their progress and ensuring the vehicle is ready at the time stated.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, building relationships and ensure all customer points are met.
  • Ensure all documentation are completed accurately and filed, maintain and update all customer records and job cards on a daily basis and file records accordingly.
  • Produce accurate invoicing for completed jobs and provide the customer with a breakdown of costs.
  • Facilitate enquiries to appropriate person and follow up on outstanding enquiries.
  • Have a positive sales approach to upselling company products.
  • Be product aware of Jaguar Land Rover and Renault brand.
  • Ensure the Technicians have the appropriate parts for the following days jobs by listing and ordering parts required.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and administration of all work.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a current UK driving Licence (preferred but not essential)
  • Be focussed on achieving goals; you will possess excellent interpersonal skills and will be recognised as being a self-motivated team player.
  • Have excellent communication skills, as well as an aptitude and great attitude to lean and develop

The successful applicant will be highly motivated, efficient and organised. This position will be part of the national apprentice scheme, so you will also be working towards your level 2 and level 3 NVQ in customer service. This is a full-time role with two-year apprentice scheme, with basic salary in line with the government recommended salary for a year one, and year two apprentice.

You will also benefit from 20 days paid holiday (rising to 25 for longevity of service).
