Save fuel and money, reduce emissions
The Ford Mondeo Hybrid manages to maximise the benefits of a Hybrid Electric Vehicle thanks to its cutting-edge design, technology and engineering. This intelligent car uses smart technology to learn when it’s best to switch from petrol to electric – even making a switch when it detects you are nearly home. As a result, you’re rewarded with smooth, responsive performance and an exhilarating driving experience when you’re behind the wheel.
Both the Vignale and Titanium Edition’s 2.0-litre petrol engines combine with the 35kw electric motor to produce 184bhp. The car produces just 99g/km of CO2, while returning up to 67.2mpg.
All about safety
Awarded a full five stars by the safety experts at Euro NCAP, the Mondeo Hybrid takes your safety very seriously. Well-equipped with both active and passive safety features, you can rest-assured that you and your passengers are protected in the event of an accident.
Lane Keep Assist and Traffic Sign Recognition are both included as standard, as is a full suite of airbags, ISOFIX anchor points in the rear and a handy seatbelt reminder. For added peace of mind, you can choose to include features such as the innovative inflatable rear seat belts and Active Cruise Control. The former will inflate in the event of a crash and spread the force over five times more area of the body than conventional seat belts.
Time to go hands-free
Inside the cabin on both the available trims (Titanium Edition and Vignale), you will discover a well-appointed interior. The old-fashioned looking analogue dials have been completed replaced by a clear, 10-inch TFT screen. Here, thanks to Ford’s latest SYNC 3 infotainment system, you can go hands-free by using voice commands – allowing you to keep your hands on the wheel and eyes on the road ahead.
The pinch-and-swipe gestures you’re familiar with on a smartphone are used on the display, and SYNC 3 connects your Apple or Android device so you can deal with calls, texts, apps and music streaming by mirroring information on the car’s touchscreen.
