Sporting a bold and dynamic design, the new Lexus GS 300h is a
performance saloon that delivers impressive power and refinement, along
with the extraordinary efficiency of a hybrid.
This full-sized executive saloon has serious road presence, accentuated by the new front spindle grille and flared wheel arches. Aerodynamic design features such as the closable vents on the radiator grille and fins on the rear lights help to increase stability and reduce wind noise. The exterior styling is sharp and purposeful, ensuring the GS 300h makes a bold statement on your behalf.
The stunningly crafted cabin will ensure you and your passengers stay relaxed and comfortable on even the longest journeys. The car's 12.3-inch full-colour LED screen is one of the widest multimedia displays on the market, and makes accessing all of the car's critical settings safe and simple while on the move. The model can seat five people in complete comfort and clever positioning of the hybrid battery means there's plenty of boot space on offer.
Safety and Technology
Innovative technology is on display throughout the car. Intelligent three-zone climate control has been designed to only function when seats are occupied, ensuring total efficiency. Entertainment centres around the Mark Levinson® high-end audio system. Driver aids range from the parking sensors and rear camera available as standard with the entry-level SE trim, through to blind spot monitor with rear cross traffic alert, which features on the Premier model.
Numerous passive and active safety features are present in the Lexus GS 300h, including a passenger safety cell made from high-tensile steel and a 10-airbag system designed to offer a comprehensive protective shield. Seatbelt pre-tensioners are fitted as standard, while Lexus' award-winning Advanced Pre-Crash Safety with Driver Monitoring and Lane Keeping Assist is available as an option pack on the GS.
Engine and Performance
In a bid to create the most efficient GS ever built, Lexus' designers
focused on developing and refining the second-generation Lexus Hybrid
Drive. The result is a remarkably strong powertrain that emits less than
110g/km of CO 2 and can deliver up to 60.1mpg. The petrol/electric
engine is capable of delivering maximum torque of 221Nm, and generates
0-62mph acceleration in 9.2 seconds.
The chassis has been stiffened for a more precise driving experience and improved stability and control, especially at high speeds. There are four driving modes to choose from, designed to suit the driver's mood as well as the traffic and road conditions.
