Master craftsmanship
Two petrol and two diesel engines are available to power the CC, all
available as four-cylinder models and offering either six or seven-speed
manual or automatic gearbox control. The petrol engines are available
in 1.4 or 2.0-litre models, and the diesel engines are 2.0-litre models.
The top speed of the CC is 149mph, it offers a combined fuel
consumption of 62.8mpg, and CO2 emissions of 119g/km.The available
levels are the CC, the CC GT, and the CC R-Line.
Technological developments
Interior features include the leather-trimmed multifunction steering
wheel, which has been fitted with ergonomically designed switches. This
makes it easy for the driver to control the radio, multifunction
computer and the Bluetooth® telephone capabilities from the same
location. Entertainment is provided through the RNS 315 touch-screen
navigation/DAB radio system, which also features a MP3-compatible CD
player and eight speakers. This is controlled through a five-inch colour
display, and is standard on all models. The interior temperature can be
fine-tuned through the 2Zone Electronic Air Conditioning, which
provides different settings depending on the driver or passenger's
desires.
Intimate reliability
The Sharan provides the highest in driver assistance technology in order to
ensure the safety of the driver and any passengers. The Driver Alert
system detects if the driver is feeling the effects of driving fatigue,
and gives audio and visual alerts to prompt a break for safer driving.
Adaptive Cruise Control adjusts the speed compared to vehicles ahead,
and Lane Assist prevents the Sharan from drifting into unwanted lanes.
