Once described as the car of the future, the new Lexus CT hybrid is here to stay. Hybrid vehicles are available in three categories: micro hybrid which operated via a simple stop-and-go system; mild hybrid, which is essentially a vehicle run on fossil fuel; and the full hybrid, which operates by means of a dual engine system. A full hybrid vehicle can be accurately described as having a dual power connection – that is, a petrol or diesel engine combined with an electric motor.

The Lexus CT is the first full hybrid luxury car to exist. The five-door model has extremely low CO₂ emissions and all the motoring finesse, style and comfort synonymous with the Lexus brand.

Unlike mild hybrid vehicles, the Lexus CT has been created to drive on electric power up to 25mph for a distance of one mile. Operating in almost silent mode, it uses no fuel and creates no emissions. The Lexus CT is fully equipped with a 1.8-litre engine, an advanced battery system, and faultless hybrid mechanism to deliver an efficient and comfortable drive with low fuel consumption and fewer emissions.
