The Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) of the IS automatically adjusts the driving speed to accommodate vehicles ahead. When the radar unit senses a slower vehicle in front, the ACC adjusts the driving speed to maintain a safe distance. The Lexus IS also provides an option to set a vehicle-to-vehicle distance which will automatically maintain the required distance.
