Honda CR-V five star Euro NCAP

Honda CR-V gains five star Euro NCAP Assessment

We were extremely pleased to see that the new Honda CR-V has been awarded the maximum five-star rating in the latest Euro NCAP safety testing. This win came as a result of the unique body structure, giving it class-leading rigidity and stiffness, as well as the comprehensive suite of active safety technologies included.

Taking a closer look at the smart design of this model, it uses the ‘All Directions Collision Safety’ concept, which is a platform design that incorporates Honda’s exclusive, next generation ACE (Advanced Compatibility Engineering) body structure. This uses a network of connected structural elements to distribute collision energy more evenly throughout the model, which therefore helps to reduce the forces transferred to the passengers in the unfortunate event of an impact.

Alongside this also lies a range of passive safety features that are complemented by the Honda Sensing suite of active driver assist technologies – to make this stand out even more, this is one of the most comprehensive suites of technology in its class. It uses an impressive combination of radar and camera information, plus a host of intuitive sensors to warn and assist you while you’re behind the wheel and could potentially encounter a dangerous situation.

Put simply, the new Honda CR-V has evolved in every way; with its refined lines and spacious interior you’ll truly be able to enjoy every journey. At its heart also lies a 1.5-litre VTEC TURBO engine, with a choice of manual or CVT automatic transmissions. Just what you need to enhance your everyday drive!

The new CR-V joins the rest of the Honda range at the top of the testing board, with the Jazz, HR-V and Civic all being awarded the maximum five-star rating.
