We were already a fan of the Honda HR-V, so it’s safe to say that when we heard the HR-V sport was on the way we were excited!
It’s set to come with a manual gearbox as standard, but you also have the option to change this to a CVT option if you’d prefer, so no matter your driving style this model will be able to accommodate. The manual version achieves a WLTP-compliant fuel economy rating of 47.9MPG and CO2 emissions of 135g/km. On the other hand, the CVT achieves an also WLTP-compliant 47.1MPG and emits 137g/km.
The engine that delivers all of this a 1.5-litre VTEC TURBO petrol engine, which has a peak power of 182PS at 5,500rpm for the manual transmission and 6,000rpm of the CVT. Maximum torque for the manual is 240Nm, while the optional CVT delivers slightly less with 22Nm.
Externally, a few enhancements have been made to help this model stand out – these include a high-gloss black chrome trim and black honeycomb front grille. This is all part of the ‘Solid Wind Face’ design, which gives this model its sportier looking front end. Other sporty elements include: a slim front splitter, side skirts, wheel arch mouldings and a specific rear bumper design with sharper lines. All of these items have been finished in black to create a more aggressive overall body shape.
When you step inside, you’ll be greeted by the new seats for the driver and front passenger that enhance your comfort in your sportier car. You will also be able to see more of the dynamic styling thanks to the black and dark red part-leather on these seats, which combine with the black roof lining to give it an edge.
