XC90 Comes to the rescue

25th July 2007

Flood Damage 2

The XC90 came into its own when the devastating floods hit the country on the 20th July 2007.... A remarkable story provided by Mr Paul Dorsett (Customer of Johnsons Cars) tells how remarkable this car was.

"I purchased a new XC90 from Johnsons during mid 2005, and have always been very pleased with every aspect of the car.  However, on Friday 20th July and through that weekend, the vehicle was nothing less than brilliant.

Due to the flash floods on Friday, our 3 children and several other parents and toddlers found themselves stuck in a nursery near Eastnor.

The car was initially used to ferry these people to dry land through some very fast moving water, but it was later that evening, on the 4 hour journey home to Hereford, when the XC90 proved to be exceptional.

With 4 children, (including 2 babies) and 2 nervous mums on board, the car passed through countless floods including one that I now understand over the level of the bonnet!  Throughout the entire ordeal, the car remained faultless, not missing a single beat, and returned everyone safely home."

Pauls only complaint was from the children as the journey finished before they were able to see the end of their 2nd DVD!
