Value my vehicle

If you’re thinking about selling or part-exchanging your current car, one of the most cost-effective ways to do so is our free car valuation service at Johnsons Cars. With a few simple steps, you can find out a guide price of how much your car is worth, and therefore what you can expect to save on a new car when you part-ex your current model with us.

At Johnsons Cars, we provide instant valuations that are guaranteed to give you the best price for your vehicle. To receive your free car valuation, enter your details above and we’ll take care of the rest. You can trust Johnsons Cars to deliver the best possible price for your vehicle.

How does it work?

We use data supplied by CAP HPI, a long-running and impartial resource that accurately reflects the current market value of your vehicle. Your car’s worth is calculated using all kinds of relevant information, including:

  • Make and model
  • Age
  • Mileage
  • Trim level

Condition is another important area of the valuation, so we’ll provide you with three potential prices to reflect how this can change depending on the condition your vehicle is in. For example, showroom-condition vehicles will be worth more than a same spec vehicle that requires repairs or maintenance.

Why Johnsons?

We’re one of the largest independent car dealerships in the country, committed to providing the highest level of customer care and satisfaction. We now have a network of 58 dealerships, all across the UK.

Our valuation tool isn’t designed to replace in-person valuations, but will give you a quick estimate of what your car is worth, meaning you can get to the fun bit – finding your next set of wheels! With Johnsons, it’s as easy as 1, 2, 3! Simply enter your details using the form above, and we’ll do the rest. Our guide price will give you an idea of how much your car is worth – and most importantly, what budget you’ll have for a new one, if you’re part-exchanging!

How accurate is your free vehicle valuation?

Not all valuations are created equal, as they depend on what data is used behind the scenes. At Johnsons, our valuation tool uses CAP HPI, which is considered to be the industry benchmark for used car prices. Their vast database of vehicles and market values come together to create the most accurate online vehicle valuation for you.

Our representative will inspect the vehicle before handover. If the condition, mileage or other valuation parameter of the vehicle is not as described by you upon valuation, we will have the right to adjust the value of the vehicle.

Can I part-exchange my vehicle for a new one?

Close

If you have a vehicle you’d like to trade in, we’ll make you an offer that you can use against your purchase. However, please note that if there is outstanding finance on your part-exchange, this will have to be settled by us as part of the transaction. Any amount left after settlement of your finance can be used towards your deposit.

How can I increase my vehicle’s value?

Mileage and condition are two points we’d highlight. The lower your mileage, the better price you’ll get for your car when you come to sell it – this is because high mileage generally means more ‘wear and tear’ over time. What’s more, by servicing your car regularly and having any repairs carried out, your car will attract a higher price. A full service history gives buyers the proof that you’ve maintained the car correctly.
