Trainee IT Support Technician

As a IT Graduate Trainee in our small IT team based at our head office in Redditch you’ll have the opportunity to get stuck in to all aspects of IT under the guidance of our Senior IT Support Technician.

You’ll be someone that has the desire to succeed, with outstanding communication and problem solving skills, the desired candidate will have a keen eye for detail.

Duties in this role include:

• On site and remote IT support through phone calls, emails and in person visits.
• Travel across all UK sites as required.
• Assisting in day to day IT related work ensuring continuous high levels of service is provided.
• Provide technical support to all employees.
• Day to day project assistance, support and administration
• Interact with all levels of the organisation and across all functions, from shop floor and workshop personnel through to Board Directors.
• Basic fault finding on hardware and software
• Set-up Desktops / Laptops / Ipads - Hardware Installation, assist onboarding new staff
• Support on Windows 10 and Windows 11 for end users
• Support Users on Office 365
• External supplier liaison to help resolve internal issues
• Phone system and Mobile phone support
• Ad-hoc IT duties as required

The ideal candidate will:

• Have an excellent attention to detail and an Interest in Technology/Computers
• Be educated to GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English and hold a relevant degree or BTEC qualification in IT or Technology related field.
• Have a good knowledge of Windows operating system with a methodical and logical approach to problem solving.
• Hold a confident Telephone Manner and demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills and improve IT knowledge.
• Must hold a UK Driving licence and be able to travel as required.
• May be required to work occasional weekends
