The all-new third-generation Jazz is the latest incarnation of the popular supermini from Honda. Set to arrive in the Johnsons showrooms in August or September, the full details are expected to be released soon. In the meantime here is a summary of the features and characteristics that we anticipate will be included, although variants have not yet been disclosed.
The classic Jazz silhouette will be made over to strike a bolder, more sophisticated note. Contemporary styling and sharp finishing touches such as sculpted bumpers and a large rear spoiler affirm the car's sporty new look.
The interior design will reflect the exterior with a streamlined dashboard and a high quality finish. As expected from the Jazz, the inside will focus on versatility and practicality, making the best use of every inch of space. The new model is rumoured to have an even larger boot than the current model and retains Honda's 'Magic Seats' which fold down to provide a floor-to-ceiling space in the back. Passenger head and legroom is also expected to hold onto its reputation as unrivalled by any other supermini.
The new Jazz is powered by a new, efficient 1.3-litre petrol engine which will deliver 102bhp and be tuned for optimum fuel economy. It comes with a choice of either a six-speed manual or a single-speed CVT automatic gearbox. A petrol/electric hybrid engine will also be available, which will use the hybrid drivetrain from the current model. More responsive and engaging handling is expected, which Honda claims will be thanks to a lighter and more rigid chassis. Fuel consumption is likely to be modest thanks to the efficient engine options and lightweight chassis.
Honda's Advanced Driver Assist system will be available as an option on the entry-level model and as standard on all other variants. This includes various features such as Forward Collision Warning to improve safety and take the onus off the driver to allow them to relax and enjoy the drive. This, along with other more standard safety features which we expect will be included, will set up the new Jazz for a good NCAP rating.
The technology specification should be generous. In the centre of the sophisticated console, a seven-inch console will give intuitive access to Honda Connect, a new in-car infotainment system that provides internet browsing and real-time news.

The lender we introduce you to and available rates will depend upon a number of factors including: the vehicle, your personal circumstances and the likelihood of a lender to accept an application based on information provided.
Lenders typically pay a commission to us for introducing you to them, calculated by reference to the vehicle model or amount you borrow. Different lenders may pay different commissions for such introductions; some lenders may also provide preferential rates to us for the funding of our vehicle stock and also provide financial support for our training and marketing. But any such amounts they and other lenders pay us will not affect the amounts you pay under your finance agreement, all of which are set by the lender concerned. If you would like to know the amount of any remuneration we have received from the finance provider, please ask us.
