I started working for Johnson’s in August 2017 where I joined the deliveries team and I have to say involves a whole lot more than just booking in customers cars for delivery! The role can be very pressured and challenging & exhilarating, working to tight deadlines & ensuring the correct cars go out on time. It is a varied role which can involve offering delivery dates to brokers, booking in cars with delivery companies & confirming bookings with customers, ordering parts & packs ...& a whole lot more! About me before Johnsons My background could not be further away from the car Trade! I started in Fashion & textiles & went on to study theatre & costume design and progressed to university graduating with a BA hons degree in Art & design, specialising in textiles & illustration. After a few exhibitions I had a break from the world of art and design and found myself working for a financial services company & then joined the famous GHD hair straighten brand at their head office near Leeds. During this time I did a bit of travel and after training to teach English as a foreign language found myself volunteering in the Dominican Republic on a few occasions teaching English and Arts and Crafts, such a rewarding experience and something I could not recommend highly enough! After this I met my (now) Husband I moved to the Midlands from Yorkshire then somehow fell into the motor trade working for Sutton Park Motor Company at their head office in Tamworth.
Most of my time now is spent with my family looking after my young Daughter, having fun & lots of weekends away, in particular Yorkshire, the Lake District & Cornwall. I love walking and have conquered a few good mountains in the Lakes! I absolutely love my music and I’m a huge fan of rock and try to see as many live bands whenever I can. Random Fact I once designed & made clothes for designer label Red or Dead. Favourite Place I have visited many beautiful places but absolutely love Cornwall & in particular St Ives. I’ve been going there since I was five years old and now visit at least twice a year! It has to be my number one place in the world!
