Jeep unveiled the first of four all-electric vehicles at the 2022 Parish Motor Show: the New Jeep Avenger. The Avenger is the brand’s first-ever battery electric vehicle, delivering zero emissions for low running costs, and will be arriving in the UK in June 2023. Only 2,000 vehicles will be available.
As the first-ever fully electric SUV from Jeep, we can still expect a vehicle with unbeatable off-road abilities. Described as an urban SUV, the New Jeep Avenger is equally suited for city streets and mountainous terrain. While the Avenger isn’t afraid of getting dirty, it’s as equally suited to busy city streets and heading on suburban adventures as it is to off-road adventures.
The sleek and striking design encapsulates the brand’s bold DNA within compact dimensions, for practicality impressing even beyond the renowned capabilities that drivers have come to expect from the esteemed Jeep brand.
Expect a distinctive, muscular silhouette with the signature seven-slot grille and full-LED headlights on the front and rear. A triumph of colours and customisations allows drivers to personalise their Avenger’s body paint, besides the contrasting black roof that remains as an iconic Jeep design feature.
Inside, smart storage solutions and spacious seating create an interior sanctuary with plenty of compartments to keep floors clear. The 100% digital interface is modern and functional to support all entertainment and navigation needs.
Looking at the electric-specific details, the Avenger has a maximum estimated WLTP electric range of up to 250 miles and can charge to 80% in just 30 minutes with a 100kWh DC fast-charging point. And for those on the go, just three minutes of fast charging can add an extra 18 miles.
A host of advanced technologies ensure every journey is convenient and safe. The 360° parking sensors and rear camera help not only assist with parking in tight spaces, but also offer a range of combined advanced driver assist systems, such as Level 2 autonomous driving capabilities. The Avenger adapts to any weather thanks to Selec-Terrain and hill descent control technology, while even the most extreme off-road conditions can be tackled thanks to its generous ground clearance.
While we can expect the full line-up of all-electric Jeep vehicles in Europe by 2025, the New Jeep Avenger will be available in the UK from June and there will only be 2,000 of the highly coveted Avenger available.
