The 2014 Paris Motor Show takes place from the October 4 - 19, 2014, during which the new C-HR Concept vehicle from Toyota will be on display. Originally unveiled at a press conference at the Motor Show that took place on October 2, the concept vehicle is a showcase of Toyota's upcoming intentions regarding hybrid-powered compact crossover vehicles.
One of the primary features of the concept vehicle is its display of Toyota's newly-developed design language, which is expected to inspire future production vehicles produced by the company. The concept vehicle itself has been given a diamond styling theme, a faceted lower body, and a sleek cabin profile. The visual impression of the vehicle is that of a broad-shouldered car, aided by aero-inspired floating rear lamp clusters which emphasise the C-HR's overall shape.
Intended as a rival vehicle to some of Toyota's closest competitors, the C-HR will make use of Toyota's newly-developed hybrid powertrain technology. It has been speculated that the production version of the C-HR concept will become part of the Toyota Auris range, and that the powertrain developments will enable four-wheel drive on the vehicle on which it is installed. It is expected that the vehicle that comes from the concept will be available to motorists by 2017.
