The new Toyota Proace Verso made its world debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. The new range will include a complete selection of people carrier models. The model will be available in three grades with a choice of three body lengths, from the Compact to the VIP version. They can be identified by their coloured bumpers, a chrome trim surround to the lower front grille, fog lamps and separate-opening tailgate glass fitted as standard. It will also include a choice of wheels like 16” or 17” steel full-wheel covers and 17” alloys, depending on the choice of grade.
The dashboard design features clear, analogue dial instrumentation and ergonomic switchgear. The SUV-like driving position features a short-throw gear lever mounted close to the steering wheel. The entry level features three interior grades build on the carpet flooring and durable seat fabric, high quality inserts, metallic trim, premium upholstery and, on top-of-the-range modes, a centre console-mounted, full-colour, multimedia touch screen.
The model will be available with a range of five powertrains featuring 1.6 and 2.0-litre diesel engines offering a choice of power outputs and transmissions.
Receiving a five-star Euro NCAP crash test rating, the car is equipped with Toyota Safety Sense. Other safety systems included are: Forward Collision Warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Detection, Lane Departure Alert, Driver Attention Alert, Road Sign Assist and Intelligent Speed Adaptation, Adaptive Front Lighting and an Automatic High Beam system.
