Behind the wheel of the new SEAT Ibiza is a raft of entertainment features and driving aids that ensure you’ll be smiling every time you hit the road. A DAB radio enables you to tune into your favourite stations wherever you are and Bluetooth connectivity lets you make calls on the go, while the Mirror Link function gives you access to your smartphone apps via the 6.5-inch colour touchscreen. At night, there’s no need to remember your headlights – they’ll come on automatically thanks to the built-in light sensors. For the ultimate driving experience, choose the XCELLENCE trim, which adds cruise control, a navigation system with voice control, parking sensors, climate control and an auto-dimming rear view mirror.
Even safer than before
The previous Ibiza received a ringing endorsement from crash-test specialists, Euro NCAP, who awarded it a maximum five-star rating. There is no reason to expect anything less with the new Ibiza, which comes with new safety tech to make the car as secure as possible. New features include Adaptive Cruise Control and Tiredness Recognition System, and each grade now also features front and rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera and six airbags.
Designed to impress
The new Ibiza boasts a sturdily constructed cabin which is furnished with easy-on-the-eye fittings, such as a dashboard whose hue matches the colour you choose for the vehicle’s body. In fact, along with the centre console, the dashboard has been completely redesigned.
The interior also benefits from chrome finishes and smart contrast stitching detail that adorns, for example, the steering wheel. Overall, there is a simple, uncluttered aesthetic to the cabin, with all essential controls and switches intuitively fashioned and easy to locate.
