Hyundai’s cutting-edge driver assistance programme, Smartsense, was created to provide drivers with more safety and peace of mind. The All-New KONA Electric constantly monitors your environment to ensure you and your passengers are protected from any potential road hazards. Included is Autonomous Emergency Braking with pedestrian recognition – a clever system that uses a front-mounted camera and radar sensor to monitor the traffic ahead. Power – But not as You Know It
If you think electric mobility isn’t exciting, you’d be wrong when it comes to the KONA Electric. Rocketing from 0-60mph in around seven seconds, this car accelerates quickly thanks to 395Nm of torque that is instantly delivered through the all-electric powertrain. Choose from two different battery versions: you’ll get up to 180miles with the 39 kWh version, or a whopping 278-mile driving range on a single charge with the 64 kWh version.
Plus, the lithium ion battery pack can be charged in as little as 75 minutes to 80% capacity from a 50kW fast charger in long-range form, or if you are using standard AC, 9hr 40min.
Iconic Style and Design
From the outside, the KONA Electric boasts Hyundai’s progressive SUV style, including its bold and chunky body, giving it a strong on-road presence. This all-electric model rides on exclusive 17-inch alloys to add to its striking appeal. Additionally, Hyundai has tweaked the bumpers and spoiler for improved aerodynamics. From the front, the sleek closed grille sits proudly – a bold signal that it’s an electric powertrain. The unique look is complemented by characteristic LED twin headlights and a range of exterior and contrasting roof colours to choose from.
Step inside the cabin and the KONA Electric is packed with tech and exudes style.
