This programme offers peace of mind with your Hyundai car. It is available on all of used Hyundai cars under 42 months old which have a full service history.

The Hyundai Promise Approved Used Cars Warranty Programme
Includes two tiers, for complete peace of mind:
Tier 1
Hyundai Promise are ICE vehicles up to 42 months old and 60,000 miles or EV/PHEV/Hybrid vehicles up to 36 months old and 60,000 miles - due to the OEM battery warranty expiring at 8 years and 100,000 miles. These will be supplied with a 5-Year Warranty – which is made up of the balance of the OEM warranty and Hyundai Extended Used Cars Warranty. The period will start from date of purchase by the customer, the extended warranty starts at the end of the OEM warranty.
Tier 2
Hyundai Approved Used cars are vehicles between 42 months and 8 years old and under 80,000 miles at the time of purchase by the customer. For EV/PHEV/Hybrid vehicles there is a maximum 7 years and 80,000 miles at start of warranty – due to the OEM battery expiring at 8 years old from date of registration. These will be supplied with a minimum 12-month Hyundai Extended Used Cars Warranty or the balance of the OEM warranty providing there is 12 months or more left.

Terms and Conditions
If an ICE or Hybrid vehicle has had its 1st service within two years of the vehicle registration date and has missed only one further service, an Engine Only warranty can be added to a Hyundai Promise vehicle. An Engine Only warranty is not available for a Hyundai Approved Used. Once the Engine Only Warranty has been applied to cover the OEM period, the 5-year Extended Warranty Cover can be added.
Engine Only warranty is designed to cover the engine components if a vehicle has missed a service during its OEM warranty period, however, the first service must have been conducted within the first 2-years of the vehicle’s life. Additionally, if the vehicle has missed more than 1 annual service, it is not eligible for the programme.
Tier 1
Hyundai Promise will be supplied with a 5-Year Warranty from date of sale to the consumer.
ICE vehicles up to 42 months old and 60,000 miles.
EV/PHEV/Hybrid vehicles up to 36 months old and 60,000 miles – due to the OEM battery warranty expiring at 8 years and 100,000 miles.
The 5-Year Warranty cover will be made up of the balance of the OEM warranty and the Hyundai Extended Used Cars Warranty. The Extended Warranty once applied stays with the vehicle and not the customer. This can be transferred.
This is a Maintenance and Repair Warranty which means the customer must have a Periodic Maintenance Inspection - Hyundai Electronic Vehicle Health Check - in addition to adhering to the specific servicing requirements schedule. This must be carried out at a Hyundai Approved Service Centre before the warranty applies for the following 12 months. (If a service is not due, for example an IONIQ 5 with a 2-year service schedule, the car must still have an EVHC carried out to activate the next year’s warranty).
Hyundai Promise Engine Only Warranty – For ICE and Hybrid vehicles that have missed a service during the OEM warranty period. If a service has been missed it invalidates the OEM 5-Year Warranty for the engine. Therefore, the Hyundai Promise Warranty cannot be added on its own (as Hyundai Promise is a “Top-Up” Warranty and not a replacement for the OEM warranty). To overcome this situation, we have created an Engine Only Warranty “Top-Up” to reinstate the engine warranty for the balance of the OEM period. For clarity, to be able to sell this vehicle as a Hyundai Promise 5-Year Warranty Car, you will need to add the Engine Only Warranty to re-instate the OEM engine cover and then add the Hyundai Promise 5-Year “Top-Up” Warranty.
Engine Only Warranty - If the vehicle has missed its first service and is under 24 months old, an Engine Only Warranty can be applied to cover the balance of the OEM warranty. If the vehicle is older than 24 months and has had its first service but missed only one service and is under 50,000 miles, it can have the Engine Only Warranty applied to cover the balance of the OEM warranty. Once the Engine Only Warranty has been applied to cover the OEM period, the 5-year Extended Warranty Cover can be added.
Tier 2
Hyundai Approved Used Cars will be supplied with a minimum of 12 Months Hyundai Approved Used Cars Warranty.
ICE warranty can be applied to vehicles up to 8 years old and 80,000 miles at the start of the warranty cover. There is no mileage limit during the warranty coverage.
EV/PHEV/Hybrid warranty can be applied to vehicles up to 7 years old and 80,000 miles at the start of the warranty cover. This is less than for ICE models due to the OEM battery warranty expiring at 8 years or 100,000 miles.
EV/PHEV/Hybrid vehicles between 36 months and 48 months will continue to use the balance of the OEM warranty. Vehicles older than 48 months will need a “Top-Up” warranty from 3 to 12 months depending on the balance of the OEM warranty remaining.

If they are unable to make you an offer of finance, or the vehicle is not one that we would normally place with them we will introduce you to other lenders on our panel. The lender we introduce you to and available rates will depend upon a number of factors including: the vehicle, your personal circumstances and the likelihood of a lender to accept an application based on information provided.
Lenders typically pay a commission to us for introducing you to them, calculated by reference to the vehicle model or amount you borrow. Different lenders may pay different commissions for such introductions; some lenders may also provide preferential rates to us for the funding of our vehicle stock and also provide financial support for our training and marketing. But any such amounts they and other lenders pay us will not affect the amounts you pay under your finance agreement, all of which are set by the lender concerned. If you would like to know the amount of any remuneration we have received from the finance provider, please ask us.
