To use this feature, you simply have to stand within the rear detection zone for three seconds or more with the smart key present, you’ll then hear a discrete sound and a brief flash of the hazard lights before the boot automatically opens.

The Autonomous Emergency Braking system uses a front-mounted radar and camera to scan the road ahead for vehicles or pedestrians. If detected it will emit a warning signal then automatically apply the brakes to reduce the risk of a collision. On Premium and Premium SE models you can also utilise the blind spot detection system, which will alert you to any vehicles or objects that enter your blind spots. This alert will appear visually on the relevant outside mirror as well as on the dashboard cluster. If you signal to turn and the system detects another object you’ll be made aware with a useful sound.
