The all-new i20 represents the beginning of a new era for the popular South Korean marque. This sleek supermini introduces a new design language, and also boasts best-in-class safety and connectivity features, plus optional mild-hybrid technology. Read on to discover more about this exciting model…
‘Sensuous Sportiness’
The exterior of the all-new i20 features improved proportions, plus striking front and rear bumpers, a new radiator grille and signature rear lighting. The model also marks the start of a “revolutionary and ambitious” new design language for Hyundai. It’s the first European car to represent the new ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ identity, as Chief Design Officer Luc Donckerwolke explains:
“The word ‘sensuous’ integrates the value of more emotion in our designs. ‘Sportiness’ implies dynamics, to be reactive of what’s happening around us. ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ is not about a new language or philosophy, it’s about a new concept in the creation of our cars.”
Hybrid performance
Under the bonnet, the i20 is available with 48-volt mild-hybrid technology for the first time, offering a 3-4% increase in fuel efficiency. This technology is available with the 1.0-litre T-GDi engine with 100 or 120 PS, plus Intelligent Manual Transmission (iMT), which allows the car to ‘coast’ when the driver releases the accelerator pedal, therefore saving fuel.
Interior sophistication
The all-new Hyundai i20 features a sleek interior design, including a high dashboard and built-in ambient lighting, giving the cockpit an airy feeling. Earlier in the year, Hyundai released new interior pictures and a new product walkaround video, where Raf Van Nuffel, Head of Product Marketing & Pricing, highlighted the all-new i20’s main features. The i20 cabin features two wide screens: a 10.25-inch digital cluster and a 10.25-inch centre touchscreen. High-end connectivity and audio features are available, including a wireless charging pad and a Bose Premium audio system with eight speakers. There’s also a new Lime Green interior trim option, to complement the existing Black Mono and Black & Grey colours.
Safety first
The all-new i20 also comes with a range of new SmartSense active safety features, meaning it has one of the most comprehensive safety packages in its segment. The new features include navigation-based Smart Cruise Control and Intelligent Speed Limit Assist.

We do not charge you a fee for our services. we will typically receive commission from whichever lender we introduce you to (either a fixed fee or a fixed percentage of the amount you borrow).
Unless we consider it to be inappropriate given your personal circumstances, for certain vehicles e.g. New, our approach is to introduce you to the lender who are usually able to offer the best available package for you, taking into account interest rates, residual valuations (where applicable) and other contributions. If they are unable to make you an offer of finance, or the vehicle is not one that we would normally place with them we will introduce you to other lenders on our panel. The lender we introduce you to and available rates will depend upon a number of factors including: the vehicle, your personal circumstances and the likelihood of a lender to accept an application based on information provided.
Lenders typically pay a commission to us for introducing you to them, calculated by reference to the vehicle model or amount you borrow. Different lenders may pay different commissions for such introductions; some lenders may also provide preferential rates to us for the funding of our vehicle stock and also provide financial support for our training and marketing. But any such amounts they and other lenders pay us will not affect the amounts you pay under your finance agreement, all of which are set by the lender concerned. If you would like to know the amount of any remuneration we have received from the finance provider, please ask us.
