Suzuki coasts into first place as top automotive brand for customer satisfaction

Suzuki GB has been named as the top automotive brand for customer satisfaction after ranking first in the Institute of Customer Service’s UK Customer Satisfaction Index (UKCSI). Suzuki slid smoothly into first place in the automotive sector, and ranked joint fifth across all measured sectors – that’s across 265 named companies!

Nobuo Suyama, Managing Director of Suzuki GB, said: “We are very proud of our achievement to once again be in first position in the automotive sector of UKCSI Index – particularly in the challenging times we continue to face.”

The index asks more than 10,000 consumers to rate their experience dealing with companies across various sectors country-wide, measuring customer sentiment and satisfaction. In total, across the 13 sectors measured – including the motor industry – 45,000 consumer responses were received, with 3,000 of those specifically from the automotive sector.

The survey consisted of questions relating to customer experience when interacting with brands, with five key themes: trust, experience, customer ethos, emotional connections and ethics. In the automotive-specific sector of the UKCSI, Suzuki placed joint first for trust, as well as being named as the company that customers would most likely remain loyal to.

The automotive industry sector included 27 brands and garnered an average score of 81.0 points, which Suzuki swiftly surpassed with a score of 85.9. The Net Promoter Score (NPS) element of UKCSI saw an all-sector industry average of 27.9, while the automotive sector averaged at 35.6 – Suzuki ranked above average with a score of 40.4.
