Bigger than Ever and Just as Comfortable
The LS’ increased dimensions mean that it provides more passenger room than before, while being as comfortable as ever. An opulent, leather-upholstered cabin ensures that every occupant is well-catered for. The driver and front-seat passenger, for instance, are provided with 20-way electrically adjustable positions. Opting for the Luxury grade only enhances the motoring experience, by adding heated and ventilated front seats. Rear-row travellers will enjoy the fact that there’s plenty of room to relax and stretch legs. In fact, everyone on board benefits from the smooth ride that the LS delivers, particularly during long motorway trips. Thanks to the inclusion of two-zone climate control and power-operated front and rear windows, establishing an ideal cabin temperature is never an issue, either.
Technologically Advanced
SmartAccess is Lexus’ keyless system, which allows the owner easy entry into the LS, while a single press of a button starts – or stops – the engine. The vehicle comes with a 12.3-inch colour screen, allowing access to satellite navigation, a 12-speaker sound system and a suite of apps, among other things. LS’ Navigation System provides subscription-free traffic and weather updates, allowing you to make up-to-the-minute changes to your journey in order to get to your destination in the quickest time possible. Apple users benefit from Siri Eyes Free, which allows an iPhone to be connected to the car’s audio system. Voice commands can then be used to control a number of in-car features. AUX, USB and Bluetooth® connectivity is included too, enabling you to plug, play and charge your media devices – and stream audio content from your smartphone. Bluetooth® also enables you to use your mobile hands-free to make and receive calls.
Plenty of Protection
While absolute comfort is assured, so too is driver and passenger safety. The vehicle comes with an array of safety features, all serving the single purpose of delivering optimal protection for everyone on board. For instance, Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) is included, which has proven instrumental in significantly reducing rear-end collisions. If an impact does occur, it certainly minimises the severity. AEB works by scanning the road ahead, warning the driver of a potential collision, and automatically applying braking pressure if the driver fails to do so. Intuitive Parking Assist features too, which detects the proximity of obstacles such as low walls or bollards that aren’t always easy to spot by eye.
