Safety Assured FIND OUT MORE

Safety Assured

The RX has been awarded Euro NCAP’s maximum five-star crash test rating, and all editions feature Lexus’ Safety System+. This means that a wide range of desirable driver aids are included as standard, such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane-keep Assist, Traffic-sign Recognition and Sway-warning System. Pre-crash Safety (PCS) features too, which is particularly useful when embarking on long journeys, during which drive attention might waver, even if only for a second or two. PCS uses camera and radar technology to constantly analyse the space ahead of you. If there is a likelihood of a collision, braking pressure is automatically applied and a driver alert is sounded. All models are fitted with low-to-high beam headlights too, which adapt instantly to oncoming traffic.

A Luxury Crossover

The Lexus RX first came on the automotive scene in 1998, and was one of the earliest examples of its kind – a luxury crossover. The intervening years have seen the RX sell very well across the globe. Now in its fourth generation, this stylish, upmarket SUV is better than ever – and offers as comfortable a ride as one could hope for. Available now from Johnson’s Lexus, the RX can be selected in SE, Luxury, Sport, F Sport or Premier trim levels, and in 450h (hybrid).

Dynamic Design

The Lexus RX is an impressive automotive specimen. It has genuine road presence, thanks in part to its elevated ride height and gently rising beltline. The car’s dynamic design helps in this regard too, with sharply defined contours most noticeably gracing the vehicle’s flanks and bonnet. There’s an appealing angularity that frames the car’s spindle-design radiator grille too. The RX rides on 18-inch seven-spoke alloy wheels as standard, and features a number of body-coloured fixtures, such as power-operated and heated door mirrors. This SUV’s five-door body style allows easy entry and exit of the vehicle for rear-row passengers. Access to the boot is simple too. The RX’s seats fold completely flat, and its load sill is low – so placing and retrieving bulkier items is usually a very straightforward affair.
