This sublime model hasn’t been named the best large luxury SUV in the country once, but three times – three years in succession, truly showcasing this model’s outstanding prowess on our roads.
This latest achievement came as part of the Auto Express Driver Power Survey, which showed the RX achieving the highest rating of any vehicle for the quality of its interior and also comfort, thanks to the spacious cabin striking the perfect balance between luxury and intuitive functionality. The superior Japanese Takumi craftsmanship is also evident throughout in every element, down to the intricate stitching of the quilted leather upholstery and laser-etched wood trim inlays
Taking a look at this model as a whole, it’s been at the heart of the Lexus range since it was introduced back in 2000, where it helped to pioneer the concept of a luxurious SUV that we have all come to love. Five years later, when the RX 400h – the first self-charging hybrid – was debuted, it cemented this model’s status as a pathfinder for game-changing new technology.
This time, the RX has been continuously improved to meet and also anticipate the changing needs of its customers. Now a 3.5-litre self-charging hybrid powertrain lies within, providing a smooth seamless and responsive performance that also helps you to maximise fuel efficiency – the official combined cycle figures are from 35.15 to 37.39mpg (WLTP data) with CO2 emissions from 132g/km (NEDC correlated data).
The current RX model is also offered with a seven-seat interior, known as the RX L, which has been specifically engineered to accommodate a third row of seats while still ensuring comfort for all passengers on every journey.

We do not charge you a fee for our services. we will typically receive commission from whichever lender we introduce you to (either a fixed fee or a fixed percentage of the amount you borrow).
Unless we consider it to be inappropriate given your personal circumstances, for certain vehicles e.g. New, our approach is to introduce you to the lender who are usually able to offer the best available package for you, taking into account interest rates, residual valuations (where applicable) and other contributions. If they are unable to make you an offer of finance, or the vehicle is not one that we would normally place with them we will introduce you to other lenders on our panel. The lender we introduce you to and available rates will depend upon a number of factors including: the vehicle, your personal circumstances and the likelihood of a lender to accept an application based on information provided.
Lenders typically pay a commission to us for introducing you to them, calculated by reference to the vehicle model or amount you borrow. Different lenders may pay different commissions for such introductions; some lenders may also provide preferential rates to us for the funding of our vehicle stock and also provide financial support for our training and marketing. But any such amounts they and other lenders pay us will not affect the amounts you pay under your finance agreement, all of which are set by the lender concerned. If you would like to know the amount of any remuneration we have received from the finance provider, please ask us.
