When you choose a Motability vehicle from Johnsons, you will find yourself able to take advantage of a number of benefits that will increase your independence and ease of vehicle use.
Through the Motability scheme, you are eligible to choose a brand new vehicle every three years, or a new Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV) every five years. We will contact you before the expiration of your lease, and you can choose whether you would like to continue with the Motability scheme. Should you leave the Motability scheme, you can request a claims letter to send to your future insurer.
Even if you are unable or prefer not to drive, the Motability scheme is still open to you. Each vehicle can be allocated up to two nominated named drivers who can operate the vehicle on your behalf.
Servicing and maintenance is taken care of by the dealership providing the Motability service, and Johnsons Cars is dedicated to bringing you the highest levels of service. Full breakdown assistance from the RAC is also included, providing assistance either at the roadside or at your home as required. The windows and windscreen will also be repaired or replaced at no additional cost to you, should this ever be needed.
The scheme also includes the full cost of the annual road tax, following the initial provision of a tax exemption certificate. There is also a 60,000-mile mileage allowance over the three-year period; should this be exceeded, there will be a charge of 5p for each additional mile.
At Johnsons Cars, we bring you a wide range of Motability-eligible vehicles waiting to be taken home. Many cost less than the weekly allowance, and an Advance Payment can be used to top up your allowance and provide you with a more extensive range of available vehicles. With the Motability Scheme you can get a home chargepoint included at no extra cost when you lease your first pure battery electric vehicle. Having a chargepoint fitted at your home is the most convenient and cost-effective way of charging your electric car.
