At Johnsons Cars we are dedicated to bringing you all the information you need to know about the Motability scheme, to help you find the vehicle that is best for you.
If either you or a relative currently receive the War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement or the Higher Mobility component of the Disability Living Allowance (DLA), then you are eligible for the Motability scheme. You are also allowed to apply for a vehicle on behalf of a child, as long as they are aged three or older and entitled to the Higher Mobility component of the DLA. No part of the Motability process requires any kind of medical assessment, and there is no waiting list for being able to choose a Motability vehicle.
As part of choosing a Motability vehicle from Johnsons Cars, we offer you a high level of vehicle cover, as well as full tax and insurance. For the time you spend on the scheme, you are eligible for a brand new vehicle every three years, or a wheelchair-accessible vehicle (WAV) every five years, depending on your requirements. This includes full breakdown assistance, free windscreen and tyre repairs, and up to two named drivers per vehicle. Part of the Motability scheme includes adaptations to make the vehicle easier for you to use, many of which can be installed for free.
If you have any further questions regarding the Motability scheme, phone us or click here to use our online enquiry form to make an obligation-free appointment with our Motability team.
