At Johnsons Hyundai Slough, we are delighted to announce our support of local under-8s boys football team, Byfleet Vipers FC, as part of the new Hyundai FC initiative.
This nationwide grassroots football programme for 11 junior teams has been developed by Chelsea FC and global automotive partner Hyundai Motor UK, plus selected Hyundai dealerships across the UK – including our team in Slough. This amazing initiative will be running throughout 2019 as part of Hyundai’s ‘For The Fans’ campaign.
We are thrilled that we could work with a local team and induct them into Hyundai FC. Byfleet Vipers FC, from Byfleet in Surrey, will receive top-level coaching sessions from Chelsea FC UEFA qualified Foundation coaches, brand-new playing and training kit, and Chelsea FC benefits to inspire the next generation of aspiring footballers.
The 11 teams, made up of boys and girls aged from under-8s to under-16s, were invited to Stamford Bridge last week to launch the programme, along with their parents and the local Hyundai dealers.
After a behind-the-scenes stadium tour, the teams took part in skills sessions run by Chelsea FC coaches on the famous pitch before each club was presented with bespoke training plans to help their team develop over the upcoming months. They were also treated to a meet and greet with the Blues’ legend and FA Cup winner, Gus Poyet, and Chelsea FC’s beloved mascots, Stamford and Bridget.
For The Fans
This brilliant programme is part of ‘For The Fans’ – Hyundai’s commitment to football in the UK and support of fans at all levels of the game – from the grassroots players, coaches and parents at the 11 Hyundai FC clubs to the elite-level through the sponsorship of Chelsea FC.
At Johnsons Hyundai we are incredibly proud to be a part of Hyundai FC, and helping to support grassroots football in our local community. Paul White, Johnsons Slough Sales Manager, said: “We were thrilled to be invited to be a part of Hyundai FC as it’s nice to see the benefits it will give the local club, and us as a dealership. The whole programme is really exciting and we can’t wait to see what else is coming up.”
