The new STandard in performance – the New Ford Puma ST

We can’t wait to get our hands on the New Ford Puma ST variant, which is set to arrive in January.

Ford’s first-ever performance SUV in Europe delivers a fun driving experience truly worthy of the iconic ST badge – boasting sports-tuned suspension, aggressively sculpted aerodynamic design, signature ST styling and four selectable drive modes.

The new ST variant follows the newly designed Puma SUV, an all-new compact SUV that has been engineered to truly help you get the most out of modern living. Let’s take a closer look at this new athletic model…

A sporty persona

The Puma ST adopts a number of traits from its mammal family namesake – strength, agility and beauty. It includes some ingenious modifications so that none of the fun-to-drive dynamics of ST are compromised by the increased ride height of its SUV platform. These include a new torsion bar and stiffer rear twist beam and uniquely tuned suspension springs for sharper cornering.

Punchy performance

Under the bonnet of the New Ford Puma ST you’ll find a potent 1.5-litre turbocharged Ford EcoBoost engine, which delivers 200 PS, with 320 Nm of torque, and is capable of 0-62mph in just 6.7 seconds. Ford says the Puma ST has been engineered for the pure joy of driving, and this punchy engine really showcases what a performance vehicle can do, while still retaining remarkable efficiency.

It comes with four Selectable Drive Modes – Normal, Sport, Eco and Track – allowing you to seamlessly change your Puma from a robust SUV about town to an exhilarating all-round performer. Each setting fine-tunes the car’s performance by modifying engine mapping, throttle and steering response, as well as traction and stability control settings.

Take your seat

Aside from its stylish flair and powerful performance, the Puma’s beautifully sculpted exterior is balanced with thoughtful functionality. Step inside to discover striking, race-inspired RECARO front sports seats, with contrast Metal Grey stitching and an embossed Ford ST logo. Key driving information is displayed in the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, while a host of smart assistance technologies work together to enhance your driving experience.
