Perfect for Families

Inside the i20, there’s plenty of room for four adult travellers, or a young family of five. The driver’s seat is height-adjustable and the steering wheel is tilt-and-telescopic, allowing him or her to establish their ideal position. All three-door models feature a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob too. Electric front windows and air conditioning (the latter available with all versions, apart from five-door S models) ensure that an agreeable cabin climate is easy to achieve. Five-door i20 iterations possess a class-competitive 326-litre boot space, which increases to 1,017 litres with 60/40 split-folding rear seats flipped. Three-door variants, meanwhile, feature a minimum-capacity 311-litre load space.

Hyundai i20

The attractive and versatile Hyundai i20 boasts a spacious cabin, a capacious boot and comes well-equipped too. Ideal for families, this hatchback can be selected in three- or five-door body styles. It’s also available in the following trim levels: SE and Premium Nav (three-door models) and S, S Air, SE, Premium Nav and Premium Nav SE trims (five-door variants). Moreover, the vehicle can be chosen as a compact crossover – the five-door i20 Active. Pick the i20 that best suits your needs – there are plenty of options!

A Classy Supermini

This stylish car, when selected in entry-level three-door SE trim, rides on 16-inch alloy wheels as standard. It also features a range of body-coloured fixtures that include door handles and (electrically-powered and heated) door mirrors. The vehicle is fitted with tinted glass too, which minimises impact of strong sunshine on occupants. All models feature daytime running lights (LED with Active, Premium Nav and Premium SE Nav grades – and all three-door models). These lights deliver distinctive illumination; they also ensure that the i20 is clearly visible to other road users. Three-door iterations feature a roof that culminates in a smart rear spoiler, which is fitted with an integrated brake light.

Choose your Engine

Entry-level models are installed with a 1.2-litre 75bhp (84bhp with three-door variants) petrol engine as standard, which manages up to 58.9mpg (55.4mpg with three-door iterations). It also produces a 119g/km CO2 emission figure. The most fuel-efficient option is a 1.0-litre 100bhp diesel engine, which is available with five-door SE Nav models and above. This returns as much as 65.7mpg, while producing emissions as low as 99g/km. Active variants, meanwhile, come with a 1.0-litre 100bhp petrol unit, which manages as much as 58.9mpg and produces 110g/km of CO2. For optimal pace and performance, choose the Premium SE Nav grade (five-door version). Powered by a 1.0-litre 120bhp petrol engine, this delivers 171Nm of torque and 0-60mph in approximately ten seconds – and still manages up to 58.9mpg, while producing emissions from 112g/km.
