Low weight, high performance

Constructed on a lightweight, largely aluminium platform, with carbon fibre driveshaft, the Alfa Romeo Stelvio weighs less than many of its classmates, delivering enhanced efficiency and outstanding performance. Weight-saving aluminium alloy is used extensively in the skin of the bonnet, front wings, doors and tailgate. Weighing in at just 1,660kg, the 2.0T edition of the Alfa Romeo Stelvio is considerably lighter than some of its main competitors, such as the Jaguar F-Pace, helping to make the drive more exciting than in many other SUVs.

Driving Passion

The SUV with a difference

The forthcoming launch of the new Alfa Romeo Stelvio is set to shake things up in the sports utility vehicle class. This is Alfa Romeo’s first foray into the SUV market, and with the Stelvio’s stylish design and high-performance engines, it looks destined to be a big success.

The Stelvio is no ordinary SUV. Even the name tells you this car is going to be something special – taken from the famous Stelvio Pass in northern Italy, the second-highest mountain road pass in the Alps. Alfa Romeo set out to create a blend of SUV and performance car in the Stelvio. With clever use of lightweight materials combined with powerful engines, and a practical, spacious design, they have successfully achieved just that. Class rivals such as the Audi Q5, Mercedes Benz GLC and BMW X3 now face some serious competition.

The bold design of the Stelvio incorporates fluid contours and curves, with sleek eye-style headlights and Alfa’s signature grille. Alfa Romeo’s new SUV will be available in three trim levels, Stelvio, Super and Tecnica. Alloy wheels are fitted across the range, starting with 17-inch alloys for the entry level Stelvio, and rising to 18-inch alloys on higher specs. All models are fitted with an electric tailgate, so there’s no need to rummage for your keys when you have your hands full. Additional features provided on the Tecnica trim include bi-xenon headlights and electric folding mirrors.

Technology and safety

You can access your music via the standard Connect 6.5-inch or optional 8.8-inch colour infotainment screen. A rotary dial fitted between the front seats allows for easy operation of the infotainment system. Two USB sockets are conveniently positioned between the front seats, and with the Tecnica trim you will also get sat nav. If you want the very best sound quality, you can upgrade to a 14-speaker Hamon Kardon system.

Safety features provided on the Stelvio include lane departure warning, hill descent control, pedestrian detection alert and automatic emergency braking. Parking sensors are fitted on tall models, as are automatic headlights and wipers. There is also the option to add a reversing camera.

Packed with technology and luxurious features as standard, the Stelvio is a premium SUV. You can look forward to dual-zone climate control with a humidity sensor to keep you at the perfect temperature, rear parking sensors to guide you into tight spaces and 17-inch alloy wheels for bold style.

Of course, you can upgrade your choice to make it even more deluxe. Select the Super to benefit from front parking sensors, 3D satellite navigation and larger 18-inch alloy wheels. Step up to the Speciale and get a sportier model complete with metal pedals, a sports steering wheel, gear-shift paddles and, for comfort, heated front seats.

To get the exact features you want, you can choose to add on many of these features to a lower specification model. It’s time to make your Stelvio truly yours.
