The Quadrifoglio continues its winning streak at the What Car? Awards

Following The Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio’s ‘Sports Car’ win last year, we were extremely pleased to see this sporty model take home the Performance Car of the Year crown this year. Not only this, the Stelvio Quadrifoglio also took home an award, it was named the Best Sports SUV for more than £60,000.

These accolades showcase just how impressive these models are – they are both powered by a 510hp, 600Nm Bi-Turbo V6 petrol engine that delivers an impressive driving experience that will truly make you excited to get behind the wheel, no matter where you’re heading. The Giulia can reach a top speed of 191mph and hit 62mph from zero in just 3.9 seconds, whereas the Stelvio can achieve 0-62mph is 3.8 seconds and has a top speed of 176mph.

Steve Huntingford, Editor of What Car?, praised the Giulia Quadrifoglio, saying: "It's often said that getting to the top is easier than staying there. So by that reckoning, the Giulia Quadrifoglio's second Car of the Year category win is arguably a greater success than its first. But it should be no surprise – after all, we're talking about a comfortable, spacious, well-equipped saloon that's more fun to drive than rivals costing tens of thousands more".

He also commented on the performance of the Stelvio Quadrifoglio: "The hottest version of the Stelvio SUV is outrageously fast, but still feels light and responsive thanks to steering that's super-quick without making the car feel nervous. Add in great body control and four-wheel drive traction and the Quadrifoglio continually encourages you to make the most of its performance".

If you would like to get your hands on either of these models, or their even more impressive NRING counterparts, then please get in touch with the team at your local Johnsons Alfa Romeo today – we’re sure you won’t want to miss out on these cars!
