The ŠKODA OCTAVIA won not one, but four(!) awards in October, consolidating its reputation as the car of choice for families across the UK. The ŠKODA stalwart picked up three gongs at the Auto Express New Car Awards 2020 and a further accolade at Autocar’s inaugural Britain’s Best Cars Awards 2020.

Auto Express crowned the fourth-generation OCTAVIA their overall New Car of the Year 2020 – one of the most prestigious titles in the automotive world. Explaining how the model had impressed the judging panel, Auto Express Editor-in-Chief Steve Fowler said:
“The new OCTAVIA not only represents all the car you could ever need, but it’s all the car you could ever want, too. It is a very worthy winner, and the Auto Express Car of the Year 2020.”
The model also took the top spot in every category it was eligible for – the ‘Estate Car of the Year’ and ‘Compact Family Car of the Year’ (for the OCTAVIA hatch version). By taking the Estate Car crown, ŠKODA recorded its fifth win in succession – a remarkable feat!
Commenting on the OCTAVIA Estate’s category win, Steve Fowler said:
"For estate-car buyers space is always a priority, and there aren’t many family wagons that offer more room for either passengers or their luggage than the new OCTAVIA Estate. The main thing that makes this our winner for 2020 is the way it combines 640 litres of luggage room with class-leading technology, comfort, performance and efficiency."
What’s more, the ŠKODA SUPERB joined the Auto Express honours list, being named Family Car of the Year – reclaiming a title it last won in 2017.

The following week, the OCTAVIA collected a fourth award for the month, being named Britain's Best Family Car 2020 in Autocar’s inaugural Britain’s Best Cars Awards 2020, with judges saying the model “…looks smarter than ever yet retains its outstanding practicality, comfort, value for money and ease of use.”

We do not charge you a fee for our services. we will typically receive commission from whichever lender we introduce you to (either a fixed fee or a fixed percentage of the amount you borrow).
Unless we consider it to be inappropriate given your personal circumstances, for certain vehicles e.g. New, our approach is to introduce you to the lender who are usually able to offer the best available package for you, taking into account interest rates, residual valuations (where applicable) and other contributions. If they are unable to make you an offer of finance, or the vehicle is not one that we would normally place with them we will introduce you to other lenders on our panel. The lender we introduce you to and available rates will depend upon a number of factors including: the vehicle, your personal circumstances and the likelihood of a lender to accept an application based on information provided.
Lenders typically pay a commission to us for introducing you to them, calculated by reference to the vehicle model or amount you borrow. Different lenders may pay different commissions for such introductions; some lenders may also provide preferential rates to us for the funding of our vehicle stock and also provide financial support for our training and marketing. But any such amounts they and other lenders pay us will not affect the amounts you pay under your finance agreement, all of which are set by the lender concerned. If you would like to know the amount of any remuneration we have received from the finance provider, please ask us.
