We are seeking a sales manager for our busy, faced paced Skoda & SEAT dealerships based in Wigan.

We are looking for a driven individual with experience of both new and used car sales management. As a sales manager you will be responsible for maximising the sales and profitability of vehicles and associated products. You will also manage and train members of the sales team and support them to help drive the business forward and sell, all whilst achieving top customer satisfaction for the dealership.

Duties in this role include:

  • To promote and nurture a customer care culture, delivering care levels consistent with the expectations of the manufacturer and Johnsons Cars Ltd.
  • Utilise monthly management accounts to monitor and control profitability of the Sales Department and to take any appropriate action to maximise future opportunities.
  • Developing sales and marketing plans and budgets to achieve agreed financial, marketing and sales benchmarks.
  • Organising, directing and controlling the activities of sales staff to work to pre-arranged plans and budgets.
  • Ensuring optimum use of all material and resources available.
  • Provide coaching and training to sales people to improve their job performance, with particular emphasis on: customer satisfaction, prospecting and customer follow up, sales process, time management and product knowledge.

Car Sales Manager Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2-years’ experience of leadership and controlling a Sales Department?
  • Demonstrate a stable career path / longevity within previous roles
  • Evidence of managing a team productively
  • Proven track record of hitting targets / managing improvements within the sales team
  • Valid UK driving licence
  • Proactive and driven to support the team
