Some Volkswagen TDI models are now fitted with AdBlue® to help the environment – AdBlue® us advanced emissions control equipment that’s able to clean exhaust gases to comply with EU6 exhaust emissions regulations. It’s a non-toxic, non-flammable, biodegradable user and water-based liquid additive that processes car exhaust system’s gases to remove NOx (nitrogen oxide) emissions that are harmful.
If your car has AdBlue, it will need topping up at the required teams, with an average car consuming between 1 – 1.5 litres of AdBlue every 620 miles. But don’t worry, your car will notify you by the driver information system when a top-up is required.
